As most of you are aware, we have been in the process of pursuing a Wine and Beer License for the Owen Theatre. The decision to obtain this flexibility at the Owen follows a lot of thought, questioning of members, listening to patrons and investigating other community theatres who currently do this.
Well, the 4-5 month process is now over and we have the license. So, you will start to see some changes in our lobby to allow us to take advantage of this opportunity.
Many of you are aware of Bernhardt Winery in Plantersville. They have been major supporters and contributors to the arts in Conroe for years. Also, they make several fine products. So, it is probably no surprise that they are our brand of choice going into this effort.
I would ask that you please bear with us as we start selling wine for $5 per glass at our events, both prior to the shows and during intermission. We will no doubt be going through some learning curves. However, we are confident that the end result will be an even more pleasant theatre experience.
And, finally, this project, like all others require volunteers to make it work. That includes you. If you can help in any way, please just let us know at the Owen. Thank you.
