Bio:
Reneé caught the acting bug after being a season ticket holder for many years, but then realizing she longed to be up on the stage with the other actors instead of sitting in the audience. The first show she was cast in for The Players Theatre Company was A Christmas Carol. Other shows she has been cast in are Exit the Body, Our Town, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Miracle on 34th Street, and The Odd Couple. She received a nomination for a Monty in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in The Odd Couple. Reneé has been in several shows at other Community Theatres as well as at her church. Being cast as Rose in Stepping Out has been such a thrill. The director, choreographer, and fellow actors made coming to rehearsals just as much fun and rewarding as putting on the show for an audience. Our choreographer, Faye Beth Beckman deserves a medal for all of the patience and perseverance she showed while working with those of us who were new to tap dancing. During the school year, Reneé teaches Kindergarten at Galatas Elementary in The Woodlands. She absolutely loves the students she teaches, the parents she gets to know, and the other kindergarten teachers that she works with every day. Reneé has two sons, Marcus and Mitchell, who she loves so very much. Along with her sons, she is blessed with many other family members who have always loved her, encouraged her, and given her the strength and courage to get through anything life has thrown at her. It is to her family that Reneé dedicates this show. I love you all!!
